Last 10 nights of Ramadan checklist: a free planner for Ramadan 2027
The last ten nights of Ramadan are when many people want quieter evenings, clearer priorities and a simple plan they can stick to. This free checklist helps you prepare the practical side so those nights feel intentional rather than rushed.
Dates below are expected only. Ramadan 2027 (1448 AH) is expected to begin around Monday 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting. Your community may begin or end a day earlier or later. Please follow your local mosque or moon-sighting committee. This page is a planning aid only. It does not give religious rulings, and it does not include Quran text or translation.
Expected window for the last ten nights in 2027
Based on the same expected calendar used on our Ramadan 2027 dates planner, the last ten nights are expected to begin on the evening of Saturday 27 February 2027 (the 21st night). The 27th night is expected on the evening of Friday 5 March 2027. Eid al-Fitr is expected on Tuesday 9 or Wednesday 10 March 2027, depending on whether Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days.
Nights in the Islamic calendar begin at sunset, so the 21st night falls on the evening before the 21st day of fasting. Write your local dates in the blank column once your mosque confirms them.

Prepare one week before the last ten nights
A short prep list in the middle of the month makes the final stretch calmer. Do what you can before the 21st night arrives, so evenings are free for worship and rest rather than errands.
- Confirm your local prayer and taraweeh times for the last week
- Write a short personal intention list for the last ten nights (keep it private and simple)
- Clear evening commitments you can move: social plans, non-urgent meetings, shopping trips
- Decide which nights you will spend mainly at home, at the mosque, or both
- Prepare a quiet corner with your mushaf, notebook and a small lamp
- Agree with household members who covers kids, guests or early mornings
- Set aside sadaqah you already planned to give during these nights
- Finish Eid-related shopping you can do early, so the last week is quieter
Night-by-night checklist you can print
Use this as a repeatable list for each of the last ten nights. Tick what matters for your household. Skip what does not fit your energy or schedule.

- Look at tonight's expected night number and write your local date
- Choose one main focus for the evening (for example: longer Quran reading, extra prayer at home, mosque taraweeh, quiet dhikr, or giving)
- Set a realistic end time so you can still wake for suhoor if you plan to
- Silence non-essential notifications after maghrib
- Keep iftar simple on nights you want more quiet time
- Note one line of gratitude or a du'a reminder in a notebook
- If you miss a night's plan, start again the next evening without rewriting the whole month
Worship, home and giving: keep three short lists
People often try to do everything in the last ten nights and then feel behind by night three. Three short lists work better than one overloaded plan.
Worship list (examples only)
- Pick a steady Quran amount you can keep for ten nights, even if it is smaller than your earlier Ramadan goal
- Note mosque times you actually plan to attend, not every optional gathering
- Leave blank space for rest. Rest is part of staying consistent
Home list
- Batch a few simple meals before the last ten nights begin
- Tell family which evenings are "quiet evenings" so visitors know when to call
- Prep kids' clothes or school bags earlier in the day if evenings will run late
Giving list
- Decide amounts or causes in advance so giving does not become a last-minute scramble
- Write how your mosque collects zakat al-fitr and when the deadline usually falls
- Keep a small envelope or transfer note ready if you prefer giving privately
None of these lists replace learning from a trusted teacher. They only help you organise time and attention.
If Ramadan is 29 days instead of 30
Because the month depends on the moon sighting, the last night may fall earlier than a 30-day plan assumes. Keep the 30th-night row blank until your local confirmation. If Eid is announced for the earlier date, move any remaining sadaqah or Eid prep to the day before, and treat the announced night as your final night of the month.
